Drinking water for all
Every day the inhabitants of rural and low-income urban areas suffer from the lack of drinking water. Without the presence of water, it is not possible to grow food, build houses, be in healthy conditions, and keep attending school.
Countless times women and children of all ages bear the burden of carrying water from long distances to have some access to the precious liquid. This chore affects their health and takes time away from the building of their future. You can change that reality.

How we solve the problem
IFC carries out water development projects through the construction of deep wells, installation of water treatment plants, and installation of filtration systems.
When children consume drinking water they have the health they need to stay in school and have the ability to learn.
Access to water enables the cultivation of vegetables that support family diets and crops in rural communities and schools.
The presence of a safe and reliable water source represents significant progress for a low-income community.
